Quick Fix: Lentils

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 35 minutes

2 cups of lentils (dry)

2 tbsps. garam masala seasoning

1 tsp garlic powder

Garnish with cilantro

I know the title says "Quick Fix" and the cook time says 35 minutes, but this is a good meal that can cook while you do other duties around your apartment, watch Netflix, or get ready to go out. The bulk of the cooking is just boiling the lentils.

1. Bowl three cups of water. Once boiled add the lentils, stir, and let simmer for 30 minutes or until lentils are softer and water has drained out.

2. Add the garam masala and the garlic powder. Stir. Then add jackfruit (optional)

3. Stir and let simmer another 5 minutes and serve hot.
