Ramen without the Seasoning Packet

July 21, 2018

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 6 minutes

1 package of Ramen

1 tbsp. coriander

2 tbsps. black pepper (if you do not like it spicy, use less pepper)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp chili powder

1 tbsp sesame oil (or any oil)

Chopped green onion

Topped with a lime wedge

Salt to taste

Sriracha sauce (optional)

This recipe puts a new take on your favorite late night dish, some people like to call it "gourmet ramen." I'm not opposed to that title.

1. In a sauce pan heat 1 tbsp of oil and add seasonings. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, discard seasoning packet, and add Ramen noodles.

2. Cook noodles as desired; approximately 6 minutes (I like mine still a little firm), serve hot with a lime wedge, cilantro garnish, and/or sriracha sauce.

3. Optional: Increase the black pepper for serious spice.
