Glass Half Full

In the midst of gathering research an upcoming article, I headed to Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn to enjoy a nice hot plate. Mind you, I arrived to the restaurant HOURS before the switch to dinner, only to find out that by time I'm seated (45 minute wait) the particular brunch item I was on a journey to eat wouldn't be available.

 

Nevertheless, right next door was Mama Pho.

 

For a starter, I had the Pork Wonton Pot Stickers and then devoured a bowl of the Ribeye, Brisket, and Beef Ball Pho. My brunch date went a different route and had the Lemongrass Chicken with the Vegetable broth. The Vegetable Broth is made from cinnamon, cloves, star anise, onions, ginger, and mushrooms. 

 

 

 We couldn't stop raving about this meal for the rest of the day.
